We often tell ourselves that big change requires big effort.
That we need a new house.
A new job.
A new zip code.
A complete reinvention.
But sometimes?
You just need to move a tree.
There’s a white tree I’ve had for years—an artificial one, nothing fancy. It used to live in my dining room, standing tall in the corner like a quiet little sentinel. It held space, brought softness. It did its job.
But when my cat Pablo passed, the whole house felt different.
Too quiet. Too still. A little hollow in the places he used to curl up.
I didn’t want to gut the room or go on a redecorating spree.
I just needed something to shift.
So I moved the tree.
Out of the dining room and into the bathroom.
I changed the art on the walls.
I tied a few purple ribbons around the branches.
That’s it.
That’s all it took.
The bathroom didn’t just look different—it felt different.
It went from soft and sentimental to bold and alive.
The energy changed.
And so did I.
It took ten minutes.
No shopping. No spending.
Just a little bit of intention and a willingness to rewrite the story of the space.
If something in your home—or your heart—feels heavy or stale,
you don’t always need to blow it up.
You don’t always need to start from scratch.
Sometimes, you just need to move a piece.
One object. One light. One small symbol.
And let it surprise you.
P.S.
If you're craving beauty that shifts the energy around you—Lavender Fields is still available as a fine art print, and through tomorrow night, every purchase comes with a bonus 5x7 print of another peaceful piece called Winter Magic.
No extra cost. Just a quiet thank-you for saying yes to beauty.
